On Monday, April 7th, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from NTNU to FORTH in Heraklion for a dedicated training workshop on 2D materials, organised under the Horizon Europe DYNASTY project.
The session focused on advanced approaches in the field, with presentations covering:
✨ Optical properties of 2D semiconductors
✨ Strain and dielectric engineering
✨ Theory and simulations
✨ TEM insights
✨ Nonlinear optics and second harmonic generation
A big thank you to all the speakers for sharing their work and insights:
George Kyriakidis, Athanasia Kostopoulou, Ioannis Paradisanos, George Kioseoglou, George Kopidakis, Nicolas Gauquelin, Sotiris Psilodimitrakopoulos
Special thanks to Prof. Angelos Xomalis, Academic Excursion Leader of NTNU, for coordinating this visit and making this academic exchange possible. It was a pleasure hosting such a curious and engaged group!
